“On the Road Again” Sponsors

With all that is going on in the world today, our problems seem minuscule, but when it rains it pours sometimes. Patriots Alumni found itself in such a position.

On Pete’s return home from a meeting in Boston, the Alumni Mobile ended up on a ramp truck with its transmission blown. The estimate to rebuild it came in around $4,000. Over its life Alumni Mobile has only incurred maintenance costs – lube/oil/filters every 3k miles, tires, one brake job – so not bad at 185,000 miles to experience its first major expense.

The truck has been necessary to tow the trailer with equipment to all of Patriots Alumni Football for YOU sites and fundraising events. The truck has proved useful transportation to all Alumni meetings and has added visibility to our message and mission. We can’t live without it so we had to have it repaired.

Since COVID-19 hit, Patriots Alumni’s fundraising efforts were suspended along with all our events. Therefore, $4,000 was a big ask for our organization.

Friends of Patriots Alumni stepped up immediately donating funds, enabling us to get back on the road within a weeks time. We are grateful for their generosity and support.
